For those of you wondering if I have accidentally misspelled the title of this post, and actually had meant to write about The 100 tv series, or The 300 movie I’m sorry to disappoint you. No, this post is not about any kind of entertainment medium. Well, not exactly anyways. Jeez Raist, then what is this about, stop being so mysterious and get to the point. We all have busy lives, so really spit it out already! Sigh, patience is a virtue you know? Okay, fine, before you all start chewing me out, this post is actually my 500th post for this blog! I never pay much attention to stats or things like that, but when I recently went to my drafts my eyes fell on the fact that I was three posts away from that number, and well…this is it! I guess this is a bit of a magic moment so to speak, so I thought it would be nice to take a look back at the past, but also towards the future of my blog.

The past….

Okay…I might have travelled a bit too far into the past…..

I started this blog way back in 2016, on June the 6th to be exact. Yes, that means that next year I will be blogging for five years, but hey, that’s a story (and a party) for next year. My first post was for a Korean dramaseries called D-day. To be perfectly honest? I had no idea what I was doing. I’m not a computer wizard, and I was honestly even surprised I was able to set up this blog and got it to work. The post itself was pretty bad, and well didn’t even get any views at first. I also didn’t know anything about blogging in general, so you could say I was what most people would call a noob. That didn’t stop me from continuing to write though. I always wanted this blog to be about multiple topics, and that hasn’t changed. Things really got moving though when I came across an anime post written by Karandi. (To make it clear, it wasn’t the post in this link). It was the first time I got over my fears to comment on people’s post instead of just leaving a like. Not only did I get a reply back, it was also one of the first times I really got a response to some of my own posts. From there my blog grew, and it also got more fun, as well now I was able to talk to people, and even better make some great friends too!

Karandi’s (and the equally wonderful Irina’s) main page.

As for me this is kind of a special post, I also wanted to mark that special moment by putting Karandi a bit in the spotlight and let her know how much I miss her. When I came back from my recent hiatus I was quite shocked to find out that she has been out of the blogging world for quite a while now. She really is someone who I not only consider as a very good friend, but also someone that I have always been impressed by. She has helped a lot of bloggers in the anime community, had wonderful content, and well was just an amazing person. All I can say is that I if you are reading this Karandi, I hope that you are safe, and will return to us at some point. I know I’m not the only one that misses you, and it’s an understatement when I say that blogging most definitely hasn’t been the same without you being around. So, well on behalf of everyone here, and of course myself I wish you the best wherever you are right now.

The future….

Okay…not THAT far into the future…..

When I started this little adventure I honestly had never imagined in my wildest dreams that my blog would turn into something this big. There have been both ups and downs, not going to lie there. For the past two years my health, and the health of my father have not been well, and combined with a busy day job, as well as some other challenges, it’s been a struggle to keep things up and running. I have had a few times where I couldn’t keep it up and had to go on an extended leave. There was even a moment a year ago where I thought I would quit and give up on blogging, but I’m honestly glad that I didn’t. Blogging for me has been a journey, and along that journey I have met many wonderful individuals, some who have become great and real friends.(You know who you are!) I plan to continue travelling as long as I can, and will try to keep bringing you the content that you have come to expect from me. That means, more movies, tvshows, anime, books, manga, K-Dramas and boardgame reviews, along with my usual silliness and other features.

Thank you!

Well…this picture says it all right?

I left the most important thing for last, and that is a big and heartfelt thank you to all of my readers! As much fun as I have writing these posts, if no one would ever read them, it would be pretty much like I’m talking to myself. While I’m still doing that in real life occasionally (hey, that’s what happens when you turn older), having people to respond to makes blogging all the more rewarding. So really, everyone who has ever left a like, a comment, or simply read one of my posts, it means more to me than you will ever know. Before this turns into an incredibly sappy post, I’m going to put an end to myself, erm to this post I mean. I’m off to go and put the finishing touches on post 501 which will be about….naw, not going to say yet. Hey, gotta keep some secrets right? See you around!
