Hello everyone. Hope you are all doing well. I want to make an announcement for a special feature that I am going to be focussing on in the next couple of weeks. As most of you know, the horrorfilm is one of my favorite moviegenres. I can enjoy really bloody horrormovies as much as a good and subtle psychological thriller. Now, as Halloween is a celebration of all things horror, and it usually means we get a new dose of bloody goodness that will hit the cinemas, I thought it would be fun to do a sort of countdown to the 31st of October. You know, that day when all hell will break loose, humanity will end and creatures that go bump in the night will take over the world. Erm, yeah I know I like to exaggerate. So how am I going to do this? Starting next week, I will review a classic horrormovie from a franchise that has released at least 5 or even more movies. The post for that movie will feature a review for that film, as well as a brief overview of the rest of that franchise. So which movies are going to be reviewed? You can see the list down below. So, lock the doors, check under the bed, and try not to be afraid……..much……
1. Saw
2. Friday the 13th
3. A nightmare on Elmstreet
4. Final Destination
5. Halloween
Such a great idea! Can’t wait to read your opinion on them as I have seen them all myself. Enjoy (re)watching them!

Not a big fan of Saw, but the rest of the line up looks good.

Glad to hear 😊 I’m looking forward to the rewatch of all these classics. As for Saw, the first one was actually more of a thriller than a horrormovie, but the franchise quickly went to very bloody torture, which is a real shame. But I have to admit the Saw franchise is a bit of a guilty pleasure lol. Looking forward to exchanging thoughts on the upcoming posts 😊

Agree the first Saw movie wasn’t too bad, but the franchise as a whole left a sour taste in my mouth.

I don’t usually like torture type movies either, but Saw gets so ridiculous and over the top that it’s hard to take any of it too seriously and it somehow ends up being a lot of fun.

Haha, yeah totally agree. I have to admit that I really think of pretty much all these films as a bit of a guilty pleasure, but the first one is actually a really solid thriller 😊

Woot! What an awesome line up, I can’t wait to read all your posts :)! Especially the Saw one, I need a recap before I watch the new one when it comes out~

Tackling some icons in the genre, nice! Well Final Destination maybe not so much XD. Should be a lot of fun and I look forward to reading!

Lol, no I guess that one is not really considered a classic, but I needed one more franchise to make it to that fifth week 😂 Thanks! I’m looking forward to revisiting these classics myself 😀

Awesome idea 🙂 That’s a great line up. Can’t wait to see what you think of the classics 🙂
Seeing that line up, has made me look forward to Halloween even more. Personally, I love Halloween, so that’s hard to achieve 🙂
Halloween is the only time of year, you can look like a zombie and no one bats an eyelid. 😀

Lol, that is so true. I actually dressed up as a zombie last year, or zombiedoctor to be more precise (no, I’m not going to be sharing any pictures lol 😂).
But I love Halloween as well. Thanks for the kind words as always 😊

Well, you know horror is definitely not my thing, lol. But surprisingly, I have seen several of these classics including a few from Friday the 13th and a couple from Nightmare on Elm Street.
I actually quite enjoyed the first couple Final Destination movies back when they came out. But they thoroughly freaked me out and in the years since I would now never even touch a movie of that style, lol. And for obvious reasons, I will never get anywhere near any of the Saw movies, hehe 🙂
I do love Halloween though and will definitely be enjoying plenty of creepy shows, just more of the Stranger Things, Hocus Pocus, Nightmare Before Christmas, and classic Halloween sitcom episode kind 🙂

Well….all I can say is, just wait for my review for the first Saw film. You might even change your mind 😉
As with pretty much every horror franchise, the first one is the best. I can’t think of any horror franchise where the sequel is better than the original. That goes for the final destination movies as well.
As for Stranger Things..I wish that one was out already. Really can’t wait for it 😊

Yes, there is more than one Final Destination movie, in fact there are five (to date). Hopefully you will be able to see a few of these classics, as most of them are very awesome. Thanks for your comments, and the enthusiasm: always appreciate it 😀

Oh snap, I guess we think on the same wavelength xDD. Yeah that tweet I gave you is indeed about halloween. I might as well tell you, it was meant to be a surprise xDD. I too am making a special feature, well more like I’ll be making it an annual thing. The event ‘hallowmon’ will be covering monsters from creepypasta, movies, anime and videogames. Across the board. I’m still deciding on whether to make it a week long thing or a 3 day thing.
I do love halloween. Good to know Jaime Lee Curtis is making a comeback to the series.

Okay, that really sounds like a very cool feature that you are planning there. Am totally looking forward to that. If there is one thing that I like it is monsters,so that sounds incredibly cool indeed 😊
Yeah I read that Jamie Lee is coming back, and that really is awesome. Hopefully the movie itself will be good, but I guess we have to wait and see 😊

Halloween is something I wish they celebrated where I live. Ah well. I’m glad to have these posts to look forward to in October – well that and my birthday…
LikeLiked by 1 person
Well, honestly, it is more of an American holiday, so we don’t really celebrate it here either, but still every year I just pretend we do anyway, and I watch horrormovies just to keep on pretending on that day 😊
Your birthday huh? That’s cool! 😀 When is your birthday if I may ask?

I’m a wuss who can’t handle horror well, but I’ll be looking forward to your film reviews as you count the weeks left until Halloween!

Haha, thank you 😊 Well, there are enough people out there that certainly are in fear of horrorfilms…so no worries about that. Will do my best to make the posts as interesting as possible.

I know right? Part 7 was just so incredibly bad that it was great that they stopped making more of these. The trailer for this new one looks pretty cool though, so I have my hopes up for it. Thanks for your comment 😊
