So…it’s that time again! The Akismet gremlins are back at it, and throwing my comments straight into the spamfolder. Seems I’m not the only one that has problems as this post from Fraggle clearly demonstrates! It’s annoying me to no end, and it really hasn’t happened in quite a while. Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that if you find I haven’t commented on a particular post, you might find it in the spamfolder. Mind you I haven’t left comments on every post that I visited, and for some blogs my comments do appear to get through. But I just wanted to let you all know to always keep an eye on your spam as this is an issue that seems to creep up every once in a while. It happens completely at random as well, and so it could happen to you when you write a very nice comment, and see it disappear into thin air. Well, I’m going to try and get this fixed by contacting Akismet. Usually this lasts about a day or so, and then things are back to normal. I hope……

Thanks! Yeah, it’s really annoying. As far as I could tell it didn’t happen this time at your blog, but several comments I left this morning at other blogs I saw disappear into thin air 😔

Haha, I’ve had it happen so many times now that I’ve lost count😊 It happens a lot to people that comment on a daily basis and in huge numbers😊 That’s why the other blogger who is mentioned in this small post, has the same problems too😔 It’s annoying though ugh 😢😢😢

It really is. It’s happened to me so many times now that I’ve lost count. It was going okay for a long time now, but well it seems to be back to being annoying again 😔😔

If it’s any compensation your comments come through loud an clear on my site (thankfully, as the only one who comments) so it’s not all bad… 😉

Thanks Pete, as far as I can tell comments on your blog seem to land just fine. It’s certain blog where they seemingly disappear. It’s annoying to no end, but I’m used to it, and it usually lasts a day until things are back to normal again😊

I had that problem a while back with non-WP self hosted bloggers. I think it was an issue with ‘Jetpack’.

Irina-Senpai oftenly ends up in my spam Folder for some reason. You have always got trough for me.. I checked my comments and all I had was actual spam!… Well and someone self promoting in my comments xD

I’ve had this issue several times now throughout my blogging years. Guess I just comment too much sometimes and it’s seen as spam😂😂 Rescued a couple of comments from my own spam yesterday too, probably one of those days! Usually after a day or so the issue seems to resolve itself😊

Yeah, it’s really crazy how this keeps happening. Bookstooge als had this happen a few weeks back. It’s one of those issues that keeps re-appearing it’s ugly mug every once in a while 😢

Haha, I do too! It seems to be back to normal again, as everywhere I comment at the moment it at least doesn’t disappear, but yeah this is really annoying. I got so frustrated I actually ironed more than I should have today. At least it calmed me down😂😂

Yeah, same here, I check it at least once every week, seeing as to how many seem to end up there. It’s really annoying they can’t seem to be able to fix this particular bug😔

Hi Michel, No need to worry about the tech difficulties; I have been experiencing some myself this week – had to resort to my backup laptop to get work done today.
No worries about the spam folder – I check it regularly anyway; 95% lovely praise for my blog; 5% tips on how to improve my hydroponics system (didn’t know I had one! 😉 ) and Approved your Comments, except I could not Reply (timed out and wiped off my half-written Comment for no apparent reason). I will try to rectify this asap!

Lol, yeah the spamfilter sometimes really has the craziest things in it. Things are luckily back to normal again, so for however long it lasts anyway, so hopefully for now my comments won’t go straight to spam hell😂😂 No problem, take your time! 😀😀

This happened on mine a while back. One user’s comments kept getting flagged. I think he figured there was some issue on his end.
A casual reader of your blog might think these ‘Technical Difficulty’ posts are a post series you put up 😝
