Hello everyone. Today I want to talk to you about a different kind of project that I am honestly very proud to be a part of. We all have moments in our life when we feel like things are not going our way. Or where we feel sad, alone, maybe even afraid. One of the things that helps during these times is being able to talk to someone close to you. A family member, a best friend, or someone else that you feel comfortable with. Usually after such a talk you are able to continue again, and turn your mood around. But what if you can’t? What if you don’t have anyone to talk to, or worse when those days where you feel bad turn into weeks or months. What if you feel like there is no other way out than to quit? I was approached by the wonderful Auri way back in 2018 to help her out with a project called Continue, Don’t Quit. Now for those of you who don’t know Auri, she is absolutely one of the kindest souls you are ever likely to meet, and is someone who pretty much always cares for others. It’s no real surprise then that she came up with the idea for this: a website that is all about giving people the chance to reach out to someone when they need it the most.
Auri has been away for a while, but now I’m very glad to say she is back and the project is back on track. Together with another equally amazing woman who many of you know called Irina , the three of us now want to show you the result. If you press here you will be taken straight to the Continue, Don’t quit website. Please take some time to look around there as Auri has been doing her best to give the site the look that it has now. I hope it is something that will be of help to many people that are going through some tough phases in their lives, and are in need of help. But also I hope it is a site that will bring some light to you when you feel you need it, and help lift your spirits when you are feeling down. Last but not least: Thank you Auri, for letting me a part of this and making this possible. You truly are an amazing person that deserves all the praise for this truly wonderful project. So everyone remember: Continue, Don’t Quit. Thank you for reading and please don’t forget to press the link and follow or maybe even spread the word.
That’s a good thing to do Michel. I’m sure there’ll be people who appreciate this sanctuary.

A couple of years ago my cousin decided the only way forward was to quit and, with the aid of a rope he did just that 😦 it’s always lovely to see such things springing up to help those that feel helpless.

Aww man, I’m so sorry to hear that 😔 It’s one of the toughest things to go through, especially for the ones who are left behind. I can only hope this site will offer some comfort to people who are going through such things. All we can do is offer help and someone who listens, but sometimes that is just all it needs.

Thanks, buddy. He tried everything and just obviously felt that was the only option left. It’s the times he was normally there that now he isn’t that brings it to the forefront most. Like always buying me a bottle of Blue WKD for my birthday despite knowing I hated it. Miss getting that awful stuff now.

Yeah I can imagine it’s on days like that, that it hurts the most, that’s for sure. All I can say is cherish those memories, for in that way you can always have him be a part of you and your life. It won’t ever get any easier though, that is for sure.

This is a useful and very kind project, Michel
I left a comment on the linked post, but can I suggest you add a reblog button there?
I would have reblogged it, and I am sure that others would too.
Meanwhile, I have shared both posts via Twitter.
Best wishes, Pete.

This is a wonderful project. One I’m a part of too since last year. But I haven’t changed my Twitter header which I will. Although I haven’t helped people always in the name of this project, ever since I decided to do this I’ve had people come and talk to me and I’ve tried to help them as much as possible. This is one of the best intiatives that I’ve seen on WordPress! Let’s keep growing it!

I really do think it’s an amazing project myself, and I’m very glad that this will hopefully reach even more people now. It’s a very important thing, and one I can hope is truly going to help others. Thank you for being a part of it yourself 😊😊

Now Michel I left a question for you on the site. I would love to help but I am not connected all the time as I work long hours. So could I still be of some helpor is it better to abstain for I won’t be able to answer promptly?

That’s a wonderful project to help prevent something that might not have any way to undo. I do hope it’ll come in handy for those who need it and that it’ll allow others to get answers/help that they need. Thanks for being part of it and making it happen, Michel!

Thanks Lashaan, all the credit goes out to Auri, but I totally agree. This is a really wonderful project, and I really hope that a lot of people will find the help they need with this. It’s an honor to be a part of it😊

This is a fine idea. Sometimes I feel like quitting myself, but I have no choice but to continue, no matter how shitty the world seems to be. Still, too many people have to endure these struggles without being able to talk to anyone — even these days, many people treat suicide as a crime or a sin rather than as the result of mental illness or of simple unhappiness that’s left to brew for years on end, and that can make it almost impossible to approach the subject. I think the relative anonymity of the community here makes it easier to talk openly about suicidal tendencies and possible solutions.

Thank you! And I definitely think you are so right. It’s always a subject that for many people won’t be easy to talk about. It always will be I guess, but I am just hoping that with this project people that are in trouble will find some hope and maybe find themselves heard. That’s pretty much what we want to achieve with this. Fingers crossed😊

This is a wonderful project, it good to see it active 🙂 There’s a lot of people who don’t have anyone they can talk to, so it’s good to have a place people can go to for advice 🙂
