It’s Here: Thoughts on Anime 2018 Book Launch!

Even though I am still currently on hiatus, there are sometimes a few things that draw my attention or are worth coming back online for. (And for those who were wondering if I am still alive, this is the proof that as a matter of a fact, yes I still am) I hope to do an update later this month, but this is not a post about me. Last year the wonderful Karandi wrote and published her first E-book about anime. I didn’t even have to think twice about it and immediately bought it. Needless to say, I had no regrets about it, as you can see from my review right here . It was an amazing read, for animelovers both new and old. And now, she does it again with her second book: Thoughts on anime 2018. Now, I just bought it, and haven’t yet had a chance to read it. But I already know it’s going to be awesome. Just like last year I hope to do another review for that as soon as my health is back in working order. That said, you don’t have to wait for that right? Just head on over to Karandi’s blog and buy it already. With a low pricetag (and she even provided an abbreviated version for the book if you can’t afford the full price edition) it’s everything you want to know about last year’s anime season and then some. It’s a great deal, and totally worth reading. So…what are you doing still reading this post? Hit that button and start reading the book written by one of the best experts on anime that I have come across. Trust me: you won’t be disappointed! Take care everyone, talk to you soon.

100 Word Anime

There’s a definite sense of excitement when I see so many of my posts from last year coming together into a single form.

For the second year in a row I’ve compiled an ebook with the content from my blog though this time I’m selling direct via PayPal. You have your choice of PDF, EPUB or MOBI formats and you will receive your copy via email after payment. Patrons, if you haven’t already got your copy, go to this post on Patreon and it should allow you to download the version you want – if it doesn’t work let me know ASAP and I will email you a copy.

Buying the ebook helps support the work I do on 100 Word Anime and hopefully I’ll be able to continue to grow the blog and produce content people would like to read. Though I would like to take this moment to…

The wordpress anime awards 2018: Ladies and Gentlemen, the results are in!

Hello everybody,

What better way to start the year then with a look back, or more precisely the results of the first ever anime awards that were held on WordPress. After a careful selection by a wonderful group of performers: Cactus Matt, Derek Lyons, Marthaurion, Matt Doyle, Jon Spencer, Karandi, Star & Luna, BiblioNyan, Lethargic Ramblings, Ano Nora, Ty-chama, Mech Anime Reviews, itsaanimething, and myself, our intrepid ringmaster the great and wonderful Ayano presented all the categories to you in this  amazing post. After that all of you voted for your favorites for which we all thank you so much! But alas, the carnival closed at the stroke of midnight on december the 31st 2018. However, the carnival has one last trick up it’s sleave, and that’s presenting you with the results of your votes. Before I get to that, I want to thank all the performers named above for their wonderful contributions. Without you this amazing project would not have been possible.

Yes, let’s all take a bow!

But I save the final thanks for Ayano, who’s tireless efforts on this project was truly the driving force without whom these awards would never have seen the light of day. So really, thank you and be proud of yourself! I have had a blast participating in this, and can only hope that this year we can do it again! (Hint, hint, hint). Now…without further ado:
