Bravery. Just what excactly makes a person brave? It can be different for everyone I guess. But I recently came across a type of bravery from someone that I already greatly admired in the first place, but who I would now want to call a hero. Her name is probably known to most of you already as many of you have all encountered her in some from or another. And if you have not, you would be very wise to go and check her out right now. Auri is one of the purest and kindest souls I have met on WordPress. She leaves wonderful comments, she writes posts that give encouragement, and in short she is someone that I think makes up the very definition of what being a good human being is all about. So why do I now also call her a hero? A few weeks ago she contacted me, together with the amazing Irina and Remy for our help in a project that she wanted to take on. Now, I would have helped her out no matter what the project would be about (because really how could anyone refuse help to her?), but this was something else entirely.
Underneath this introduction you will find her post that is about a subject that most people would be afraid to maybe even adress. Much less offer to reach out and help. Auri’s post about it however offers hope. It offers help. And most importantly it shows that no one is ever alone. We all need people when we go through a rough time. I encourage everyone to read this post. It is shining example of why Auri is such an important part of this community. But also…don’t be afraid to reach out when you want our help. After reading her post you will know what I mean by this. And after reading it you will also know why I call her a hero now.

Very brave of all of you, and also a little scary I imagine, it isn’t always easy to listen to people’s pain and say the right things in return, but I am sure you will be fine, you’re so lovely! X

Well..all the credit for this has really got to go to Auri. She really is such an amazingly kind person, and for her to take on something like this is just incredibly brave. I just had to offer my help in this. And yeah, no denying that. Things like this can be very hard, but I just always think that everyone needs someone in their lives that is there for them. And if we can help people in this way, that I think is worth it.
Thanks very much for your kind comment. Appreciate it 😊

Another fantastic project you have decided to take part in. Very timely as I just talked about the importance of both reaching out when you need help and reaching out to others to help them in my last review on my blog. I’m thrilled to see so many people realizing the importance of this and just offering to be there for anyone who needs them 🙂

Yeah: it’s something that I have always said: people who think they can take things on alone are wrong. Everyone is in need of at least one or two persons in their lives that are there for them. No matter what.
Thank you. I’m very proud of Auri. She really deserves all the credit for this. It’s amazing what she is doing here.

It is a wonderful post. I applaud everyone who steps up and reminds us how common these types of thoughts are but to not give up hope.

Saw this on Kim’s blog earlier in the week and thought what Auri was doing was awesome. My blog hopping (at least the catching up I’m trying to do) has sort of messed up the chronology, but I’m glad that you shared this, sir. Definitely worth letting everyone know about it.

Don’t worry. I have the same problem. I ofcourse have a dayjob, and that keeps me very busy at times. So I usually have about 4-5 hours of free time to spent on blogging (and watching/reading stuff), so I’m always playing catch up 😂
But thank you. I am really proud to be a part of this project, as it’s something that really lies very close to my heart (my best friend had a depression last year and had thoughts of leaving this world for good. And that really got to me in a very big way. She luckily is doing better now though).
Auri is an absolutely amazing person for making this project become a reality. She truly is astounding and such a sweet and kind soul.
Thanks for your kind words. I’m always happy to see a comment from you 😊

Aw man, I hear ya. There’s nothing more eye-opening that having close ones live through those tough times, or even being the one living through. I’m glad to hear your support for the initiative and it’s definitely a nice and heartwarming one. Stay awesome, sir. 👏
