A couple of weeks ago I had an issue where my comments disappeared on posts from other blogs. In the end it appeared that they went straight to the spamfilters. A day later the issue seemed to be resolved and I did not have any more problems…..until today that is. Earlier this morning I commented on some posts and my comments disappeared into thin air. In case some of you are wondering why I haven’t replied to a certain post that I liked, you might want to check your spamfilters. I don’t know if it’s the same issue as last time, but until it is resolved I will still ofcourse read your posts and like them, but if you don’t see a comment from me, you now know why.
Hopefully things will return to normal tomorrow (that’s what happened last time), but this is seriously getting annoying WordPress. Well, at least I wanted to give you all an update on what’s going on. If you can, please check your spamfilters to see if any of my comments might have ended up there. I’m sorry for the inconvenience. For now: computer says no 😢

I don’t know….but I just commented on your post Mistakes do happen and so do reverts, and my comment disappeared. So….I think it is now resting in your spam filter. If you have some time, could you check that? I would appreciate it 😊

You want to hear something funny, and I am really not kidding here. Your blog and 100 word anime are the only two blogs where mu comments are coming through. All the other blogs my comments are vanishing as soon as I post them. Three comments over on Dani’s blog…poof gone. Seriously annoying to say the least 😢

Oh Glob, not this again 🙂 I’m beginning to wonder, if there’s something wrong with WordPress default settings. This seems to happen to a lot of people, quite often.

It is seriously annoying. I’m getting to the point where I am wondering if I just have to stop posting comments on other posts right now until this is solved, I have been reading posts for almost two hours now, and except for two blogs, every single comment that I gave has disappeared. It is really starting to get on my nerves 😢

I wonder if WordPress has an IT guy/gal or Technical person, that you can report problems like this to 🙂

The last time this happened, I contacted them on twitter, but besides a reply that really didn’t help, they never got bsck to me. Yes, I have tried that as well…and it didn’t work. My comments did appear in the spamfilter again, as one fellow blogger has already said so to me. Hopefully the issue will resolve itself soon. 😊 Thanks for the kind words: appreciate it 😊

What a horrible bug, given that interacting with bloggers is one of the best things about WordPress. Thankfully I got your recent comment with no problems. Probably because I removed you from the trash filter last time.
Maybe because you comment so much WordPress thinks you are a spam bot of some kind 😀

Haha…yeah that might just be it lol. Seriously though, it is incredibly annoying. I have reading posts and posting comments on them for more than two hours now, and with the exception of your blog and two others, every comment of mine has disappeared. Maybe I should just stop giving comments to see if my spam bot status gets removed 😂😂

Thanks for the heads up, I’ll be sure to check but you seem to be good for my site at least. I’ve noticed a few people have been ending up in there but only very rarely. Also, WordPress has had me have to reapprove commenters. I have no idea what is up with this platform sometimes

Yeah…it is seriously annoying to say the least. I have no idea why this keeps happening either. There were three blogs where my comments didn’t disappear, but all the others so far have gone into thin air. That’s why I put out this post, as one of the best things about blogging is exchanging thoughts. Hopefully this gets resolved soon. Thanks for the recovery though 😀

No worries! I should really check my filters more often just in case stuff ike that happens. Most of them are the usual ‘you need fresh content’ or ‘monetize with us’ comments, but I had one from you and one from one other person that were definitely not spam. The odd thing with the other one is that the ‘spam’ comment was a reply to a reply that I had given to one of their comments.

Yeah…it seems that there are a lot of issues with WordPress at the moment. I hear a lot of complaints from other bloggers as well, that had either the same issues, or other things that did not work well. Come to think of it…going to check my own spamfilter to see if there is anything in it that should not be there 😊

As I said, this happens to me off an on every so often (used to happen more often but my internet connection has been reasonably stable lately so now so much). Unfortunately, I’ve never found a fix for it other than letting people know via twitter and hoping they check their spam occasionally.

Yeah, it is seriously annoying though…Inhave been reading and replying to posts for almost two hours now, and with exception of your blog, and two others, all my comments have disappeared. That’s exactly the reason why I made this post too. The best thing about blogging is the interaction, so that’s why I am so upset by this 😢

You need to contact Akismet, which is the spam company for WordPress. WordPress itself can’t solve your issue.

I recommend doing it today. That way they will look into the problem and hopefully make it so it doesn’t happen again.

Well..everything luckily is back to normal again. I went to sleep last night right after responding to your comment. If it is going to happen again, them I will definitely contact akismet right away. Thank you again for the help and advice 😀

Ah this happens to me sporadically too. I should really contact askimet, but it usually resolves itself before I have to bother (and I’m lazy 😉 ) Don’t worry- it should be back to normal in no time, no matter what you decide to do!

Whoa….I haven’t even known about this error. If it’s affecting you, there’s a good chance all (or other users) are affected too! It’s a good thing you mentioned this one (and really made a post, at that.)

Well it doesn’t seem to affected every one, but just hits randomly. I rescued two comments from another blogger yesterday evening, but other comments seemed to get through just fine. I now just check my spamfilter every other week, just to make sure some comments don’t disappear 😀Thankfully it seems to be resolved again, as my comments are working again as of this morning 😊

Hopefully you’ll get this straightened out.
In the last few days, I’ve noticed a dramatic rise in spammers (well, probably only a couple that just keep changing IPs) flooding my blog with their ads for their stupid FIFA coins and onesie pajamas. (Side note to them: screw you!) Probably a coincidence since I don’t have Jetpack or another spam filtering plugin activated, but maybe one of those idiots are using your IP or a similar one? Your comments are always detailed and individualized, so I don’t understand why yours would be auto-deleted when so much junk goes through.

Haha…really had to laugh about that side not of yours lol 😂😂 I don’t understand it either, but it seems the issue has been resolved again. This morning my comments are working again. So I guess I am off the spamlist again. I rescued two comments from another blogger from my own spamfilter as well yesterday, so I guess I am not the only one this happened to. No idea what caused it, but happy that it has been resolved again 😀

Luckily as of yesterday, it has been solved again. It’s really weird, sometimes have no idea why this happens. But am just glad it’s fixed now 😀

I had a couple of regulars go to spam yesterday, including yours. I have had t he same problem myself at times. WordPress is sporadic but I’m impressed you notice!

Haha, yeah I like commenting on posts but when you see every comment disappear eventually you start noticing a pattern lol. But luckily it’s fixed now. No idea why it keeps happening, but hopefully the issue will not pop up for a while now 😀

I had the same issue. At one point I sat down and wrote about ten long comments on different posts/blogs, and then when I came back to check on them, they were never there, like I never wrote them. I know they didn’t go to anyone’s spam boxes, and they were not awaiting moderation. Uh..I know how you feel, life is unfair sometimes…

I thought it was something to do with my computer when I saw some of my comments made on some posts to disappear into thin air. Perhaps now I would know better. 😉

The first time that happened I had the same thought. It’s just a strange glitch that happens from time to time. It is very annoying though as I really love providing comments to posts, especially to bloggers that I really like. It hasn’t happened in quite a while now though (knock on wood) so maybe they finally found a way to fix it 😊
